UK Summer Airshows 2023

Summer has started which means UK Summer Airshows have begun. We’ve had some great ones happen in June so far, from the AeroExpo, Midlands Air festival to the English Riviera Airshow. They don’t stop there though, there’s plenty more to come in the next couple of months. Summer wouldn’t be the same without the various shows that are on offer up and down the country. If you’re looking to travel more around the UK or enjoy more staycations, below are just some of the reasons why you should.

July

Battle of Britain Airshow - https://www.bobairshow.co.uk/

July will begin with the Battle of Britain Airshow where visitors can visit where the battle took place over 80 years ago. This airshow will showcase flying displays, aircraft of the era and attractions throughout the day for the family to enjoy. It will be their 8th event this year, so visitors are bound to enjoy.

Taking place at Swansea Bay from the 1st – 2nd July, the Wales Airshow will treat people to Aerobatic displays, military aircrafts and vintage planes, air and ground displays and entertainment throughout the weekend. Whilst you’re visiting why not have a bite to eat at the many food trucks or sit down for a well deserved drink, there’s plenty to do, no wonder over 200,000 attend every year. Want another reason to go? The event is free, yes free!

Royal International Air Tattoo - https://www.airtattoo.com/

Showcasing in the Cotswolds between the 14th – 16th July, this is one of the world’s biggest airshows. Featuring hundreds of aircrafts all shapes and sizes, from all eras and many countries around the world there is plenty to see. Don’t miss out on a full day of entertainment, with delicious food to enjoy and shops selling memorabilia to help let you remember this wonderful weekend. It was a sell out last year for the airshow with nearly 200,000 people in attendance, and we have no doubt that this year will be just as similar.

Looking for a fun family day out? Then look no further, the Somerset Aerofest will be taking place at the end of July (29th – 30th) and there is plenty going on for the whole family to enjoy. The event will be open from 10:00am – 17:00pm and during this time you can enjoy historic aircrafts and displays, classic cars and bikes, cockpit displays and scale models as well as entertainment for the little ones. If you get peckish throughout the day, then there will be plenty of food and drink stalls for when you need that little break.
