Last week some of the LJS Aviation team attended the MRO Europe Exhibition 2022 in London.
MRO Europe is the largest event of its kind in Europe, it provides an opportunity for airlines, MROs, OEMs, Lessors, suppliers and industry experts to meet and network, and to explore the aviation maintenance industry.
On Tuesday, our Business Development Manager, Joe Ferrett, Purchasing Manager, Lia Triunfo, Sales Manager Lidia Skoczen and Purchasing Executive Rita Makin arrived at their hotel in the early afternoon. That evening, they attended a cookery class in Oxford Circus, held by AELS (Aircraft End–of–Life Solutions) as a networking opportunity. The networking event consisted of people split into teams where they produced different parts of a dinner (starter, main, dessert). Once completed, everyone was able to sit down and taste the meal they had cooked. Unfortunately for Joe, his custard flan ended up resembling an Omelette Flan! Despite this, it was a very enjoyable, fun and productive
evening.
On Wednesday, Joe, Lia, Lidia and Rita arrived at the MRO event at 9:30am to collect their badges for a day full of meetings. It was a busy day for all, and the team were able to catch up with different people for lots of successful meetings. In the evening Joe attended a networking event hosted by ANG Network at the Oxo Tower which gave a lot more networking opportunities with people in the industry. The evening also provided great views and fantastic wine.
MRO Europe was Rita’s first aviation event, and this is what she had to say about it, “I absolutely enjoyed my first ever experience at an Aviation event. It was lovely to meet face-to-face with my industry colleagues that I speak with daily. I loved handing out our business cards and receiving all the compliments on how different they are. The day flew by!! I can’t wait for the next one.”
For the final day, Joe was joined by our Senior Purchasing Executive Doug Cox and Senior Sales Executive Steve Blick. They were all able to continue the event with more successful meetings until the event finished in the afternoon.
This was Steve’s first MRO with LJS Aviation, it was nice to hear that he had a great time, “It was a really enjoyable experience attending my first MRO with LJS. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces and friends, as well as making new friends. I’m looking forward to the next trip already.”
