LJS attend MRO Europe’s record - breaking event in Amsterdam.

LJS ended the 2023 event schedule with a trip to Amsterdam for MRO Europe, but despite a busy year of exhibitions, for MRO Executive Elsbeth, she was just getting started with her first event representing LJS. As for the event itself, it was MRO Europe’s 25th anniversary and what a way to celebrate with a record breaking number of over 10,000 people in attendance.

Tuesday 17th October

Representing LJS at this event was Joe Ferrett (VP Sales & Business Development), Steve Blick (Senior Sales Executive) and exhibition debutant Elsbeth Woods (MRO Executive).

After a short delay the team took the quick 50 minute flight over to Amsterdam and arrived at the hotel about 7pm. After a welcoming drink and a swift unpack the team went out for dinner in Rembrandt Square and briefly explored the city before heading back to prepare for a full day at the show.

Wednesday 18th October

On the first morning, the team started the day with breakfast in the hotel and had a look at the plan for the upcoming day, before making their way to the exhibition. After collecting their badges, it was straight into action. It was a full day of networking and walking around the conference catching up with familiar faces and meeting new industry friends.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing the Lufthansa Technik Lego figure of an CFM Leap – 1B Engine. It reportedly took six months to create with 400,000 pieces and is built at 60% of its actual size. The spectacular creation made its debut at MRO Americas back in April this year and the LJS team were lucky enough to see it at the MRO in Amsterdam.

Once the doors for the exhibition closed, the team then headed on to an off-site meeting, and then it was time to head back to the hotel to freshen up. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the ANG party in the evening, where the team enjoyed some light refreshments, canapés, and the chance to further network during the event which was incredibly well organised, and a spectacle to behold!

Thursday 19th October

For the last day, Joe, Steve and Elsbeth headed back to the show to do some final 1 – 1 meetings with customers. It was then time for the team to make the short return flight home.

This years MRO Europe was an enjoyable one for all the team, especially Elsbeth who was able to meet with all her fellow industry peers at an event for the first time.

Elsbeth Woods, MRO Executive:

"I had an absolutely fantastic time at my first MRO! The event was filled with exciting opportunities to learn, connect, and grow."

Thank you to Aviation Week for another fantastic event and to all those we met over the couple of days we were there, it was great to see you all.

That’s a wrap for exhibitions this year! I’m sure we will see you all during the upcoming festivities, and the next scheduled stop will be our first event of 2024, the Aeroxchange Conference in February where LJS will once again be platinum sponsors.
